The Scientific work of the Department for Earth Observation of the University Jena focuses on the development and application of interdisciplinary methods of remote sensing and geoinformatics within national and international research projects and cooperation. The aim is to measure the dynamics of the Earth’s surface, to quantify, to model and to reprocess the obtained information for further use.
