Decision Analysis Service for Urban Air Pollution Health Risk Assessments

In an innovative approach, the Earth Observation satellite based air pollution mapping and traffic emissions models will be integrated with health risk models. The resulting developed service will be a user friendly software application available to city planners and health policy decision makers. Such a software package would provide direct answers in terms of population health consequences (morbidity, mortality, hospitalisation, health costs) to allow appropriate and highly relevant comparisons of city planning options (such as traffic regulation, public transit and road construction) affecting the urban environmental conditions.
