Research Organisation
The Remote Sensing Laboratory (RS Lab) of the  Signal Processing and Telecommunications Group at  the University of Trento addresses several researches dealing with pattern recognition and image processing applied to the analysis of remote-sensing data.

The staff of the RS Lab is composed of 3 members. Also, a number of external collaborators and students work actively in the Laboratory.

The important results of researches conducted are demonstrated by the wide number of scientific publications and by the several national and international projects carried out by the Lab members.

The RS Lab has also established several collaborations with national and international universities, institutes and companies involved in remote-sensing researches and applications.

The objectives of RSLab are:

  • to develop advanced pattern-recognition and image-processing methodologies for the automatic analysis of remote-sensing images.
  • to increase the quality of education in the context of remote sensing data analysis and train highly-qualified personnel in this field.
  • to promote advanced researches in the context of automatic remote-sensing data analysis.
  • to transfer the knowledge and results obtained in the research to a real context through a direct collaboration with end-users.
  • to allow the access of new remote-sensing technology to an ever-wide range of operators.
  • to foster national and international collaboration initiatives with industry and other research institutions.
